Teun’s love for performing arts borders on insanity. Supporting the other voices in singing, as well as checking in with everyone: making sure we remember our worth.
"Singing in harmony is the goosebumpiest."
ANNE-LIEN — ALTO
Arion was born out of Anne-Lien's muses including Gene Puerling, Greek mythology and jazz. She loves intricate complexity, but the group inspires her to put storytelling first, finding balance.
"Let's spread some positive notes out there!"

"Let's create one unique sound together!"
ESTELLE — SOPRANO
Fueled by an incredible fire for vocal group music, Estelle brings our melodies to life. As a soprano, she has been leading the harmonies in many groups thusfar, including the East Dock Voices.
“Estelle will be right.”
"Your voice is meant to sound."
Biography
The mythical Arion was a wonderful poet and musician that was given this choice: “Be killed by your sailors or be drowned by the sea!”. He jumped into the waters and unexpectedly landed on the back of a dolphin. When Arion’s voice was saved from the depths of the sea, he truly understood: your voice is meant to sound.
Estelle Krammer (2001, soprano), Anne-Lien Goeminne (2006, alto), Jón Kleinehanding (1996, tenor) and Teun Smeets (1996, bass) are all professional singers with the ambition to develop a close-knitted vocal group. They bring their own backgrounds from not just different nationalities, but also different musical styles.
‘Arion’ is a new, aspiring vocal group consisting of four different voices, with the desire to sound as one. Arion believes in the power of the voice: the stories that cross our lips, the songs that move. The group brings arrangements of existing jazz and musical repertoire as well as own compositions.
We cannot wait to share our passion with you!
